I have downloaded the file tmw-0.0.19-i686-1.rgz.
uncompressed it. and under the install directory is a file that is called slack-desc. that tell me nothing how to install.

The short sword says +100 damage. Does that mean, it adds 100 to the amount it gave or a random amount from 1-100 added.

Because I am doing like 50-80 damage at lvl 12 with a short sowrd. Should be like 101-129. since I was doing like 29 damage with a dagger that is +15 damage.

Are the two dungeons supposed to be blocked by boulders?

rename it to tmw-cvs.tar.bz2 and in the dll folder you will find all the dlls you need to run cvs version.

Ok, foudn all the DLL doing a search on my harddrive and put them in windows/system32.

Now when running the tmw.exe says "couldn't load login ...

I can only think about using visual studio at the moment, which I'm sure works. Anyway if you don't have so much practice compiling tmw, I suggest you get latest cvs and this executable http://themanaworld.homeip.net/tmw/tmw.exe which is updated very frequently.

No, i was in windows, cannot compile in linux. to many error and no help.

seriously though, you sure it wasnt a coincidence? also, can you reproduce it? (combined with the mac ver not processing drops at all, there might be a major bug lurking somewhere :?)

one could make the server scan the chat strings for keywords, and then ban that person for, say, a few hours, after a couple of positives. an immediate and complete ban would be over the top imho, as everyone has a bad hair day from time to time...
